This is it

In a matters of hours,i'll be on a flight to Auckland,New Zealand. It still feels surreal...and I think that this feeling will remain even after I touch down the city of kiwi.

I am more scared than excited...feel really heavy to leave my loving family and crazy friends for so many months. They told me that its not like I'm never going to come back...but the feeling of leaving behind all things familiar to me is still very intimidating.

I don't think I'm fully prepared for this journey...my baggage is not even fully packed yet.

Hmmm,my feeling now is kinda awful...like a bundle of emotions all mixed up together and I don't really know which one to feel.

Wish me luck,my friends.

pre-NZ shopping

Thursday, November 05, 2009

Only about 11 days left before my big adventure to NZ!Me and my mates finally found ourselves some time to do some pre-NZ shopping together. Our first stop is the Emirates ticketing office at Pavilion to buy the air ticket from Auckland to Sydney.

My ticket, which looks more like a boarding pass

It is good that I've decided to buy our tickets at the ticketing office rather than buying it online, because not only that the ticket was NZD2 cheaper at the office, they also print out the ticket on a card and put it into this nice envelope, instead of a boring A4 size confirmation slip we will get if we book online. It looks really nice like that!Kekekee...and I will be flying on A380 on this flight, damn exciting about that too!But this flight only take place next year lah.

It is also good that I chose to fly via full service airlines i.e. MAS and Emirates.Good services and comfortable flight are to be expected. But I am mostly flying home next year via Air Asia from Melbourne...urgh,hahahaa.Boh bian lah have to save money.I heard that they started charging people what they called "convenience fees" now, meaning a fees chargable when you use your credit card for ticket purchase online,RM5 per transaction I think. It is so ridiculous...

Anyway, after we get our nicely packed tickets,we proceed to a short brunch and then to Pertama Kompleks for our backpacks.

Ta-dah!Presenting,my very own

Deuter Aircontact 55+10

Nice bag huh?Cost me RM470,but worth it lah.The shop we went to in Pertama Kompleks is the cheapest in town,or probably in whole of Malaysia. They sell genuine Deuter bags there and all at 30% off.My bag can easily cost about RM700+ else where...So,its a good purchase!Haha.

Then when I got home today,I visited my sister who recently gave birth to a baby girl.My niece was sleeping when I got there,so nothing much to see lah.I heard that her eyes are really big and she look really pretty...hmm,I wonder if I will get to witness it before I go away for 9 months.

Sleepy head

I'm quite happy for my sis lah,now she got one son (Alister) and one daughter, which to chinese it forms the word 好 ,meaning good.It is considered as a good fortune.

There is no time for me to bond with this one.I shall just create the rapport between us when I get back.=p

my travelings

Wednesday, October 28, 2009

Its time for another update! But since i'm too lazy to do a proper entry,I shall just post some pictures and short words to fill the space of this site.ngehehehee.

I went to the city of Taipei 2 weeks ago,and I had great fun!Although the food there was a tad disappointing, but I still quite like the bustling city.I especially like to walk around the night markets there,it was really fun walking about the crowded streets in a nice temperature of 21 to 25 c.What's more, since the fall is coming, they were throwing out the summer outfits for big discount, which was a big treat for me who came from a tropical country.Plus, its also great when Taiwanese thought that I came from Hong Kong just because us Malaysians can speak good mandarin and english with cantonese accent...hahahaa.

I missed quite a lot of attractions there, since I was only staying there for 5 days and I don't want my holiday there to be a rush.I think I'll visit there again sometimes, just to visit the few places that I've missed out and do some more pre-fall,post-summer shopping.

First day in,visited the Longshan Temple.

The Wulai waterfall.

Ice creams at Danshui.

Taipei 101,taken at Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall.

Speaking of traveling...I will be leaving for NZ very soon...in just a few weeks' time.

Many would ask if I've done the necessarily preparation...or ask how am I feeling...excited?anticipation?happy?

I'm not sure what am I feeling exactly.Maybe a lil bit unprepared, because I just don't know what to prepare, physically and mentally...Maybe a lil bit excited too,for this would be my furthest traveling plan yet,and it would be like an adventure for me.

But mostly,I think I feel scared. For the unknown prospects in every way.Whether I will really have fun there, whether I can find some decent jobs, whether my travel mates and I would get along well, whether I will get homesick half way, whether I can catch-up my 9 months of absence when i'm back, whether this 9 months of travelings would be worthwhile, whether I can make the best out of this working holiday...or even to sillier things like whether my nephew would forget about me after I was gone for 9 months.

I know my worries are valid, but I also know that this NZ trip is definitely going to happen. So,there is really no point worrying about shits like that when future events are really unpredictable at this point and I can only do my best when shits come my way....argh,but I just couldn't help myself but to think about these as the date draws nearer.

Looking at my friends who are happily working, with some very bright futures in different fields,I can't help but to worry about my own...Well,I have to admit that it is kinda loserish to be staying at home doing nothing but to blog about trivial things like this; while all my friends are out there striving for their career and making the best out of their days.

Urgh...maybe I think too much.I need my confidence back.Dang!

TJ Haus @ Subang SS18

Monday, September 14, 2009

Jian Li is back from Sg for a week, having some time before her new school term starts. We just have to go out for a dinner and Tack Chou suggested this nice restaurant by the name of TJ Haus at Subang SS18.We (by we I mean just TC,Mel and me...lol) decided to go there since the place got rave reviews from numerous bloggers and even local newspaper.

The place is located at the second floor of some shoplot in SS18.It wasn't really too hard to find.It was small, but with a nice homey ambience that I find charming.

TK just getting started to devour his food
with Mel halfway eating her bread.lol.

Jian Li and me

TK's Lamb Shank

My Cordon Bleu Chicken and butter rice

TJ Haus specialty: Crispy Duck -Mel's and TC's

Jian Li's rib eye steak

We took no time to order the food once we arrive, since we were all starving. To our delight, the food were served rather fast.

I decided to order Cordon Bleu chicken even before I was there simply because I have always like Cordon Bleu chicken and it was one of their famous dish.It was served with this curry sauce and butter rice.I think that the sauce goes really well with the chicken. It was really good.

TK's lamb shank was alright...maybe because I am not a lamb person. The server said it was a New Zealand lamb,so it was suppose to be of better quality I guess. It tasted alright to me.

As for Mel and TC's crispy duck,it was suppose to be their specialty.Maybe also because I don't really like eating duck,I find it just okay.I think that the duck skin was really crispy, but Mel and Jian Li begged to differ.Mel commented that the duck was very "duckish" and left her duck unfinished. It sounds deep...but I think I get what she means. The duck was served with this purple cabbage as side dish, which I think was a bad colour beside the duck...just a thought lah.

As for Jian Li's steak,I did not taste it cause she ordered medium rare and I am not good with bloody meat. But I think she commented that it taste good and the steak was tender.

The peach cheesecake Mel ordered was a really big piece of cake, the portion was considered generous for the price charged. She didn't finished it and I shamelessly finished it for her.It tasted great.

Overall I think we enjoyed our dinner very much. The price was very reasonable and the food was good.I will definitely go back there again someday, even just for their Cordon Bleu chicken.yum!

revamped!

A new blog skin!I finally put myself into changing the blog skin yesterday night, and it wasn't as hard as I thought!

I found this template at btemplates.com as recommended by Jo.They have some really cool templates and this was even on the first page of the website. It was named Creative by Nature and the minute I saw it I immediately decided that this will the one.

I made some changes to it and now naoki psychotic has a new look!

I have also added a new Twitter widget, right down at the blog.I'm still getting myself familiar with all these, might add more new widgets in the future.

Thanks to Jo for teaching me how to change the whole template (i'm really a noob in this)! Also thanks to the designer of this really cool template!

So what do you think about this template?good?bad? Please comment wor.

Hopefully by changing a new look will also make me wants to blog more often. Please don't abandon my blog eventhough my updates come really slow k!
